A shocking statistic has revealed that 49% of British adults in full-time employment would be unlikely to tell their boss about problems such as anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder.
Sue Baker, Director of the Mental Health charity Time to Change, says she advises people to speak up to their bosses if it is clear that the employer is supportive of mental health programmes.
There are now more than 500 employers making large-scale changes in their organisations, including signing up to the Time To Change pledge. This pledge was designed to get businesses to acknowledge and address the taboos around Mental Health.
