Zain Zain (formerly MTC) is a leading emerging markets player in the field of telecommunications aiming to become one of the top ten mobile groups in the world by 2011. Established in 1983 in Kuwait as the region’s first mobile operator, it has grown significantly becoming the 4th largest telecommunications company in the world in terms of geographic presence with a footprint in 22 countries spread across the Middle East and Africa with more than 15,000 employees.

Over the next few years, Zain has set ambitious targets for the future, targets requiring continuous investment in their people. Righttrack has worked with Zain to create an innovative and engaging 3 module sales development programme for the company’s middle and senior sales managers.

The programme is designed specifically around Zain’s objectives of ensuring that all aspects of the programme fully represent their learning goals and what Zain stands for as an organisation.

The main objectives within the development programme focused around leadership models, sales and communications. Zain did not want a traditional lecture based programme, as they wanted a high impact approach to their employees’ development. The key was to get sales managers motivated and excited about the implementation of their learning, ensuring they transferred their new skills into the workplace.

This initial impact of the development programme has been very positive with all delegates returning to work motivated, enthusiastic and ready to utilise their new skills.
