Jon Davies joins the Righttrack Team
Righttrack would like to welcome Jon Davies to the marketing department. Jon has been recruited to cover Chris and Gemma whilst they are off as well as to bring a fresh pair of eyes to our marketing activity.
Jon has extensive experience in marketing having worked for many top companies including Black & Decker and Triton Showers. He has already made some great suggestions and fitted in well with the rest of the team.
So welcome Jon and good luck in your new role!
Gemma and Lara successfully complete Race for Life
For the past 5 years at least one Righttracker has taken part in Race for Life and this year was no exception. Gemma and Lara did it for Righttrack this year and had a great time doing it! They raised lots of money and the Righttrack team were very proud, particularly considering that Gemma was over 7 and a half months pregnant!
Gemma and Lara would like to thank everyone for their sponsorship and are looking forward to the race next year!
Well done ladies, you did great!
Righttrack Insights have been live for 6 months
At the beginning of the year we launched the Righttrack Insights; our brand new interactive learning resource, which comprises of two helpful monthly tips covering Management & Leadership and Sales.
Most people openly recognise the benefit of focusing on skill development, yet time pressures are regularly stated as one of the main obstacles that people are faced with when looking to develop their skills. It was for this reason why we created the Insights; we wanted to stimulate debate and awareness, basically get people thinking about the different issues that surround management & leadership and sales.
The Insights have grown from strength to strength since their launch in January, which we are thrilled at. If you have missed them, simply sign up to receive them or you can always visit our Insights archive; we hope you like them!
Righttrack recruitment drive is well on the way
It has become a Righttrack custom that during the summer months Righttrack holds a trainer recruitment drive to ensure that we continue working with the very best trainers in the business.
As always we have been inundated with responses and the standard has been incredibly high. The next stage of the process is due to take place in July and the Righttrack team are excited to see what the applicants have in store to show off their talents.
If you are interested in becoming a Righttrack Associate please send your CV in.
ICM pr story coming soon
Righttrack are incredibly passionate about learning and development, which is why we do what we do. We make sure we jump on every possible opportunity to tell the world the benefits that a well designed and delivered training programme can generate, which is why we regularly interview clients to create news stories.
This year has seen some great results for our clients and so it has been hard to choose which project to focus on. After a lot of discussion with the client, trainer and delegates involved we felt that the project Righttrack completed for ICM Business Continuity Services would make interesting reading.
The article is nearly finished so keep your eyes peeled. We hope you enjoy it!
p.s. a new, extended case study section is coming to our website; we will let you know when it goes live!
Putting the emphasis back on bespoke development
We all know the benefits that a bespoke training programme generates for organisations wanting their learning project to be 100% specific to their learning needs and requirements, yet when budgets have been cut, true bespoke development can be just out of reach.
The recession has been hard for all organisations, but as we slowly move towards the light, we are getting more and more requests from our clients about Righttrack’s bespoke training programmes; the processes, costs, etc, which is why for the next few months we are putting bespoke development under the spotlight!
Find out more about Righttrack bespoke development; it may help with the learning needs your organisation is currently facing. Obviously there is no right or wrong way to develop people; it is all dependent on the learning needs and situation, which is where a great learning and development specialist, like Righttrack, is worth their weight in gold; finding the right solution is what they do best.
Our training team are a helpful bunch as they are always publishing their thoughts and tips in our e-newsletter and insights; sign up to make sure you don’t miss out!
Trainer recruitment drive
Righttrack’s goal is to be the best in the business and to do that we need to have the best resources, including talented and experienced trainers and facilitators.
Every year we hold a trainer recruitment drive to make sure that our core training team is unrivalled by the competition, and the time has now come to launch the 2010 drive.
If you are a freelance training consultant with qualifications and proven experience, and are interested in working with a dynamic, international learning and development specialist, please send us your CV.
Good luck!
It’s that Race for Life time again
Every year members of the Righttrack team participate in charity events and this year is no exception. For the fourth year running Gemma Middleton, our Marketing Manager, is participating in one of Cancer Research’s Race for Life events. However this year will be a little different as Gemma will be 8 months pregnant whilst participating.
Gemma says, “I have always enjoyed participating in the Race for Life for many reasons; supporting a very worthwhile charity, keeping fit and being part of the atmosphere, to name just a few, and I was very keen to carry on the tradition this year!
Once I found out it was perfectly safe for me and my baby, I decided that a big belly would not stop me. This year my mum is doing it with me to make sure I finish; hopefully there will not be that much dragging involved! I can’t wait for the event and appreciate all the support and sponsorship from my family and friends.”
Righttrack wish Gemma and her mum every success in completing the race!

Record breaking month for Righttrack
The external economic situation is still creating difficult trading conditions for many UK businesses, and that coupled with the environmental goings-on, it is quite easy to see why the majority of the news still seems to focus on negative stories.
However we are proud to celebrate in amongst all the doom and gloom; so far this year we have sold to a record number of companies! We are not actually very far from beating 2009’s overall total already, which is fabulous news.
The whole team has been pushing hard to maximise every single opportunity, whilst continuing to deliver Righttrack’s renowned quality training programmes. This effort and gusto will continue throughout 2010, so who knows what the end results for Righttrack will be!
Volcanic ash hits Righttrack
Before the beginning of April 2010, if you hadn’t heard of Eyjafjallajökull, the Icelandic volcano you would be forgiven, however since its recent eruption the volcano has become headline news, mainly because it has caused a massive shut down of UK air space.
Like many UK businesses, Righttrack has been affected due to the travel chaos; we have had trainers stranded in Kuwait, as well as new business opportunities put on hold due to the no fly zones. What with the snow and now this, it seems that 2010 will be remembered by many businesses as the year for environmental challenges!
Hopefully the fly restrictions will end soon, however you can be assured that the Righttrack team are trying their very best to carry on as normal, as are the rest of UK businesses.
Congratulations to Gemma; a little bun in the oven
We are pleased to announce that the Righttrack team is expecting a new edition at the end of August, as Gemma Middleton, our Marketing Manager, is expecting her first child.
Gemma says, “Although the little bundle was a complete surprise, we are incredibly excited about the arrival. We have been incredibly touched by people’s support and excitement, and would just like to say thank you.”
The Righttrack team would like to congratulate and wish Gemma and Nathan every happiness with their expanding family.
Righttrack Edara and the Union Investment Companies
We are pleased to announce that Righttrack Edara has secured their first client, the Union of Investment Companies, which is great considering the Righttrack Edara division has only been established for a matter of weeks.
The Union of Investment Companies commissioned two programmes; International Financial Reporting and Finance for Non Financial Managers, both of which will be designed and delivered by our international development trainers.
Righttrack were confident that the new division, Righttrack Edara, would be successful as it joins together Righttrack’s extensive international writing and training capabilities with Edara’s strong Kuwaiti presence.
This great start has left everyone excited to see what the future holds; the possibilities seem to be endless!
Righttrack Edara
Righttrack has been operating in Kuwait for over 10 years now, with the number of clients growing year on year.
Momentum and continual achievement are key objectives, always have and always will be, which is why we have created a partnership with Edara; an international training company based in the Gulf. The partnership has proved successful, with the relationship and clients growing continuously.
Gemma Middleton, Righttrack’s Marketing Manager said, “We are incredibly pleased with how the partnership has developed. Edara’s values towards training and learning and development are very similar to Righttrack’s and so the creation of Righttrack Edara makes perfect sense! We are incredibly excited to see what the future brings!”
Righttrack Insights
Righttrack has been in the learning and development industry for over 21 years and during that time we have amassed a huge range of experience, information and expertise across a number of subjects; e.g. management to finance, leadership to customer service, and experiential events to sales.
We wanted to make good use of this information, which is why starting from January we will be creating two monthly Righttrack Insights based on:
The idea of the Righttrack Insights is to send out monthly emails for both subjects, which will feature news relating to management, leadership and sales, handy tips, reader questions, etc.
We want the Insights to be a useful resource and so we would love to hear from you, the readers. The Insights enables the reader to play a key role in the email content via their questions!
Both the Management & Leadership and Sales Insights will be short, sharp and snappy, whilst being delivered at different times of the month as we want them to be a help, not a hindrance!
To find out more, visit our Righttrack Insights web-section.
We hope you enjoyed the festivities and are recharged for 2010. The Righttrack team had a great time and are ready to hit 2010 running.
Throughout the course of the year, we have lots of new initiatives that we can’t wait to launch and gain your feedback on. As always, we will announce anything new here on our news pages and in our e-newsletter (why not sign up to make sure you don’t miss out) to keep you up-to-date with the latest Righttrack goings on.
