waterberg welfare societyIt is a real privilege to be able to contribute to a needing community whilst at the same time developing leadership qualities. A real win-win situation for everyone. The Waterberg Welfare Society, in Limpopo Province, was formed in 2000 primarily to provide help and support to those individuals infected and affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Their focus is to raise awareness, promote preventative measures and provide home-based care, treatment and counselling for HIV/AIDS patients, their families and orphans. The society runs an Orphans and Vulnerable Children programme (OVC) which currently cares for 329 orphans. With the breadth and depth of their work, there is always a need for different projects to be implemented. It isn’t necessarily a case of monetary support, but expertise, manpower, a sharing of knowledge and co-operation. Righttrack will work with the Waterberg Welfare Society and the client to ensure that the field based project is appropriate to the learning needs of the delegates and provides tangible outcomes for the Society. |
