Scenario Based Learning

scenario based learning activity

Scenario based learning activity varies in duration, from two hour sessions as part of a development learning programme or more lengthy sessions of up to one day.

These paper based scenarios are designed to offer a challenge to delegates, however, participants do not ‘live’ the activity as they do in the experiential learning events.

Scenarios are designed to mirror the client organisation or the change being introduced into the client company. The scenarios are very comprehensive and delegates are usually not aware of the fact that they are fictitious and not a real case study.

Always accompanied by other more formally structured learning activity, including group discussions, individual and group activity as well as structured trainer input, they form part of an interesting and fresh approach to learning and development.

Scenario based learning is available for all topics including:

  • Change management programmes for managers and staff
  • Customer service awareness
  • Complaints handling skills
  • Performance management
  • Appraisal processes and skills

In this section are four examples of scenario based learning that deliver powerful learning outcomes. These examples can be tailored to your specific requirements or we can design a scenario specifically for you.
