Margaret’s consultancy experience is recognized by the fact that she has been contracted to work for government funded organizations such as Envirowise and WRAP. Envirowise selected a panel of specialist environmental advisors to carry out work across the UK to help businesses to improve all aspects of environmental management and to become more resource efficient. Margaret was an Envirowise Advisor for several years and is now a contractor for WRAP the body that has taken over a similar role in providing advice and training for businesses seeking to implement environmental good practice.
As well as delivering training herself, Margaret is a specialist training course verifier for ILM and NCFE. These two awarding organizations are responsible for quality control of nationally recognized qualifications. Margaret utilizes her in depth knowledge of environmental training to assess the quality of environmental training leading to ILM’s and NCFE’s qualifications. Margaret carries out a similar role for IEMA the membership institute for environmental professionals. Margaret’s work reviewing ILM, NCFE and IEMA courses ensures that she is up to date with the world of environmental training.
As an ILM member, Margaret believes that managers, supervisors and all staff in the modern workplace can benefit from a good understanding of environmental management. Using resources efficiently reduces waste and pollution so care for the environment really complements care for the bottom line!
