Edara Group is the strategic partner of Righttrack for the Middle East. They needed to commission a Train the Trainer programme to develop training skills in a mixed experience delegate group.
The requirement was to develop trainer skills in line with modern training techniques and highly participative styles of development. Many of the delegates had extensive experience of lecturing in universities; others had no experience at all in designing or presenting development interventions.
Righttrack designed and implemented a comprehensive Train the Trainer programme bespoke to this group of delegates. The aim was to develop skills in designing, preparing and delivering development programmes to small and medium sized groups. The progamme took into consideration the mix of experience and was highly practical and delegate focussed. Role-play was prominent with ample one to one constructive feedback from the trainer.
The programme resulted in a large proportion of the delegate group extending their training activity beyond lecturing-style learning. Those who had less experience have used the techniques within their roles and aim to extend their learning on the subject to ensure they are fully capable in designing and implementing training interventions.
Two of the experienced trainers went on to be approved by the Institute of Leadership & Management.

The client required a specifically designed Train the Trainer programme to develop the skills necessary for a team who would be involved in preparing and delivering in-house learning programmes centred on a newly introduced ERP system. The delegate group were a mix of experienced and non experienced.
Delegates attended a comprehensive programme which provided a thorough understanding of how adults learn and how to prepare training to accommodate different learning styles. The content also included trainer communication skills and how to handle different delegate behaviours. At the end of each day, the Righttrack trainer provided delegates one to one feedback on the contribution made that day and progress with individuals role-play.
With some support in the early stages of their role as trainers, this newly appointed in-house training team will be ready to prepare and present learning that will develop awareness and knowledge of Tarmac’s ERP system. This will contribute to the achievement of the client’s strategy.

IDEXX is a worldwide leader in innovative products and services for veterinary practitioners. Its companion animal business has a team of field based specialists and office support staff across Europe. Key staff from European offices required trainer-training to prepare them to train new sales team members as the need arises. Uniquely the train-the-trainer course had to integrate the development of a bespoke sales course which participants would subsequently run.
One of Righttrack’s most experienced sales and interpersonal skills trainers prepared the workshop for a group of 6 participants. This involved all the essential elements of a trainer-training workshop while delegates progressively assessed and reframed elements of a specialist sales programme to meet the needs in this industry.
At the end of the intensive three-day workshop each of the participants had acquired the knowledge, understanding and skills to facilitate sales training for new Idexx recruits. The company received their own documented and badged sales programme. The course includes a systematic approach to identifying customer’s needs and targeting the sales proposition and recommendations. Field and office based sales consultants achieved significantly improved sales results after attending the course.
